Initiative: 

  1. To decrease infant mortality rate (IMR), Neurobian was indented from State and distributed in district. It was observed that Thiamine is effective to decrease infant death.

 

Challenge:

  1. Accuchek supply is Active, but the strips supplied are Instant. The facilities using Active needs to procure Instant Accuchek. This will be implemented at IPA Action Plan for Y2Q2.
  2. Tablets required for HWCs for online reporting.
  3. Home Delivery is still high in Buhchangphai.

  • Malaria positive cases shown above were from Kolasib District Hospital , Kawnpui PHC and Lungdai villages.
  • Case investigation done for malaria positive patients.
  • Follow up actions were taken by conducting active case search from neighbouring houses of positive patients.

Analysis:

  • Most of the referred children does not seek for medical assistance at the PHC, CHC or DH as the team could only screened the targeted population during their visit.
  • IFA were distributed at the Education Department while reports were not received regularly.

Initiative: For Patients with eye problems, there is glass provision from NPCB&VI (Blindness)

Challenge: Referred patients cannot visit higher centres as transportation cost is not provided.

  • Highest No. of Squad drive and Anti-Tobacco Awareness Programme was achieved in the month of November.
  • No. of Awareness Programme has increased. Awareness were done in Schools, Churches and Colleges.
  • No. of counselling sessions (via. phone calls, SMS and Clinic) - 246.

Challenge: There is no Carbon Monoxide monitor for Tobacco Cell.

Plan: District consultant will enquire availability of CO2 monitor and confirm prices, which will be included in IPA Quarter Action Plan.

  • Sputum examination decreases from December 2023 to January and February 2024 because Presumptive test requirement was pushed during December 2023.
  • Patient increases – test increases.
  • Patients died due to Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).
  • UDST cannot be 100% because some EP sample cannot be collected.
  • There are 13 TB free village under Kolasib District.
