Thingdawl Sub-Health Centre was established in 1965.The sub-centre was constructed under RCH Project in 1998 with estimated cost of about Rs.6,80,000/-
The Government of India announced Ayushman Bharat programme in September,2018 with two major pillars of services; one is PM-JAY for providing financial benefits up to 5 lakh per family for tertiary care. The second pillar is to transform the existing 1.5 lakh Sub-centres and PHC’s into ‘Health and Wellness Centres’ (HWC’s) wherein Comprehensive Primary Health Care Services would be made available near to the communities to provide affordable and accessible health services to all.
On 20.03.2020 the Union Cabinet approved for establishing 12,500 AYUSH Health and Wellness Centres based on AYUSH principles and practices in partnership with State and UT’s.
Under this programme Thingdawl Sub-Health Centre was upgraded to AYUSH Health and Wellness Centre in 2020.
OBJECTIVES:
• To provide comprehensive primary healthcare through AYUSH using team-based approach.
• To establish a holistic wellness model based on AYUSH principles and practices focusing on preventive, promotive, curative, rehabilitative healthcare by establishing integration with existing public healthcare system.
• To provide informed choice to the needy public by making AYUSH services available.
• To reduce out of pocket expenditure.
COMPONENTS OF SERVICES:
• Preventive and promotive measures for self-care.
• Medicinal plants for self-care, cultivation and home remedies.
• Management of common ailments under 12 service delivery framework such as:
1. Antenatal Care (ANC) and Childbirth.
2. Neonatal and Infant Health Care Services.
3. Childhood and Adolescent Health Care Services.
4. Family Planning, Contraceptive Services and other Reproductive Health Care Services.
5. Management of Communicable Diseases.
6. General Out Patient Care for acute simple illness and minor ailments.
7. Screening, prevention, control and management of NCD and chronic communicable diseases like TB and Leprosy.
8. Basic Oral Health Care.
9. Care of common Opthalmic, Eye and ENT problems.
10. Elderly and Palliative Health Care Services.
11. Emergency Medical Services.
12. Screening and basic management of Mental Health ailments.

• Teleconsultation
• Dispensed free available medicines.
• Free diagnostic test like pregnancy test, malaria, haemoglobin, blood sugar, blood pressure, height and weight measurement.
• Covid-19 Vaccination
• Observation of health promotion day by giving awareness, health talk, physical exercise and Yoga.
