Bilkhawthlir PHC

A spacious land for Primary Health Centre, Bilkhawthlir was given by the Late Mr. Laltluanga, Bilkhawthlir at  Kualmawi, Bilkhawthlir. The PHC building was contsructed in the year 1991-1992, and was inaugurated on 27th November 1992 by the Late Shri Vaivenga the then Minister of Health and Family Welfare Department, Govt. of Mizoram. The first posted Medical Officer was Dr. RK Lalthlamuana, who is presently the SMO at the Office of the Chief Medical Officer, Kolasib District. 

           A new building is presently constructed under NABARD by Zamzo Construction which was commenced on October 2020 and is nearly completed. 

           Bilkhawthlir PHC caters services to 4 villages namely, Bilkhawthlir, N.Chawnpui, Saiphai and Saipum, with a total population of 11,189 approximately through  1 Main Centre, 4 Sub Centres ( 1 SC and 3 HWC-SC) and 1 Clinic. See below:

• Bilkhawthlir PHC signed an agreement with MHSSP (IPA) and has received  One Time Start-up Grant of  Rs 6,25,000 and is working hard with it..
• Since the introduction of Kayakalp in 2016, Bilkhawthlir PHC has received prizes as follows:

  2. 2017 – 2^nd Prize
  3. 2018-19 – 2^nd Prize
  4. 2019-20 - 1^st Prize 
• On 10.12.2019, Bilkhawthlir Thalai Pawl a prestigious organization has awarded Bilkhawthlir PHC a 1^st Prize for the cleanest office among all the government offices in Bilkhawthlir village.
